Maximizing a wardrobe is the main way to always look great without having to buy something new every time you need something. Now we can all be guilty of that from time to time but when you can, avoid it. Alot of people may find it a bit challenging to mix and match one thing differently the next time you wear it but one way to make it easier, is to purchase two-piece sets. That one outfit automatically makes at least 3 looks, AT LEAST. Not to mention, you can also mix and match it with other sets. The perfect example is the sequin set shown above.
The main reasons we look for new clothes is usually some type of event is coming up. Formal pieces are usually those things you really have to space out from the next time you wear it as they are usually more statement pieces. This one set is a prime example how to eliminate the worry of second-time wear and also showcases how multiple looks can be made from one.
The middle look is of courst the full set. Generally it would be a little more crop style but I'm short so not very much of the midsection shows. This would be great for something more cocktail, NYE, or for a birthday night out (with you as the birthday girl). As a whole this is a lot of sequins so you would definitely light up the room.
To the left is the skirt only matched with a vintage off white blouse. This is more so semi formal but if you want something just a tad more casual, pair it with a denim skirt, or maybe even some type of basic black crop top. I personally just have more of a dress up type style.
To the right is the top only with a wide leg black pant. Again, it is simple like the skirt only look but you can mix and match it however. Try it with a white pant, high waisted denim, a solid pencil skirt, etc.
Now in no way shape or form am I saying to stock up only on sets. There are plenty of other ways to mix and match different looks and maximize the wardrobe you already have. If you do decide to pick up a few, I recommend mainly the basics like black, nude, gray, blush, or olive and maybe some patterns such as classic black and white stripes. If you would like a formal one such as this one, I grabbed this from Superficial Clothing in Norcross, GA.
